No. There is one plan at $149 MXN/month with everything included. You only pay more if you open another location, which is $99 MXN/month, or if you turn on an optional module like Online Payments and Delivery.

Yes. You get 14 days free and we don't ask for a credit card to start. Set up your menu, your tables, and your team, and decide with the system already running.

Can I run several locations?

Yes. They all live in the same account and you switch between them in one click. Each location keeps its own menu, team, and configuration, and costs an additional $99 MXN/month.

Do I need training to use it?

No. Initial setup is guided step by step, and the interface is built so a new cashier understands the screen on their first shift. It is fully available in Spanish, or in English if your team prefers.

What devices can I use it on?

Any computer, tablet, or phone with a browser — nothing to install. The only thing that requires a desktop computer is thermal receipt printing.

Does La Comanda take a commission on my sales?

No. You pay your monthly fee and nothing else. We don't take a percentage of what you sell, and your price doesn't change if you sell more.

How do I pay, and can I cancel?

It's billed monthly by card and you can cancel whenever you want from your dashboard. The 14-day trial requires no card.

Cash, card, and bank transfer, plus payments split across methods or across people. You can also split the bill by item and record tips, either direct or pooled.

The first 50 restaurants to subscribe pay $49 MXN/month for 6 months, then continue at the regular $149 MXN/month. It's the same complete product, with nothing cut out.

What hardware do I need to start?

Accepted Answer

A computer, tablet, or phone with a browser and internet. We don't sell hardware and we don't require a specific terminal: if you already have equipment that works, it works.

Which thermal printers are compatible?

Accepted Answer

Any ESC/POS-compatible thermal printer your operating system already recognizes, on 58 mm or 80 mm paper. We don't require a particular brand or model, and you don't have to buy the printer from us.

How do I connect my printer?

Accepted Answer

Install QZ Tray, which is free, on the computer that will print, run the setup assistant once to authorize it, and pick your printer in Settings. It takes about ten minutes and is done once per computer.

Does my printer work over USB, network, or Bluetooth?

Accepted Answer

All three. La Comanda prints through your operating system, so any printer already installed there works the same no matter how it's connected. There is no IP address or port to configure.

Do I need a separate printer for the kitchen?

Not required. You can use a single printer for both receipts and kitchen tickets, or set up a second one dedicated to the kitchen if you want them separated.

Can I print from a tablet or a phone?

No. Thermal printing needs QZ Tray, which only exists for computers running macOS, Windows, or Linux. The usual setup is taking orders on the tablet and letting the register's computer print.

Do I need a special card terminal?

No. La Comanda records the card payment inside the order so your reconciliation balances; you still take the payment on your bank's terminal, the one you already have.

What does the Online Payments and Delivery module include?

For an additional $49 MXN/month, your customers pay online with Mercado Pago straight from your menu, and you dispatch home delivery with an Uber Direct courier without running your own fleet.

Do QR orders from the table cost extra?

No. Ordering from the table by QR code is always included in the base plan. The optional module is for taking payment online and for home delivery.

Does Uber Direct delivery work in my city?

It depends on Uber Direct's coverage in your area. It's validated against your address when you turn on the module, and if there's no coverage you can still use online orders for pickup at your location.

Who charges the fee on an online payment?

Mercado Pago charges its own processing fee, on its terms and straight into your account. La Comanda does not add any commission on top of that.

You take a photo of your dish with your phone and AI turns it into a professional menu photo with studio lighting. No photographer and no shoot.

There's no monthly fee. You start with 10 free credits and then get 3 free every month. If you need more, packs start at $49 MXN: those credits are a one-time purchase and never expire.

Can I use those photos outside La Comanda?

Yes. The photos you generate are yours and you can download them for social media, print, or delivery platforms. They stay saved in your gallery.

What happens if the internet goes down?

La Comanda runs in the cloud and syncs the point of sale, the kitchen, and QR menus in real time, so it needs a connection. It works fine on ordinary broadband, and keeping mobile data as a backup avoids interruptions mid-service.

Where is my information stored?

In the cloud, not on the restaurant's computer. If a machine breaks, is lost, or is stolen, your sales, your menu, and your customers are intact and you sign in from another device.

Can I control what each person on my team sees?

Yes. Everyone signs in with their own account and role, and shifts, tips, and reports are shown according to that role. A cashier doesn't see what the owner sees.

Yes, and the usual approach is to switch between services. Load your menu, add your team, and set up your tables during the 14-day trial, so the switch happens with the new system already prepared.

Can I load the menu I already have?

Yes. Download the template, fill in your products with their prices and categories, and upload them in bulk from the catalog. Then reorder them by dragging and add modifiers, combos, and recipes.

Yes. You can download your order history, its line items, and its payments as CSV files you open in Excel or hand to your accountant.
